Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce Response to COVID-19
(Cochrane, AB) – The Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) is taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously as this situation impacts all individuals and businesses in our community.
⦁ We will be postponing our annual Trade Show, scheduled for May 2 and 3, until further notice.
⦁ The Mayor’s State of the Town breakfast, held in partnership with The Town of Cochrane, will be cancelled
⦁ The Chamber of Commerce AGM, scheduled for March 31, will be held via video conference. Members will be given direct instructions as to how to join in.
The Chamber is committed to supporting local businesses during this difficult time and is working with our members to discuss solutions that may mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At this time of uncertainty, here are some ideas for what Cochrane residents can do to support local businesses:
⦁ Buy meals from local restaurants. Most are still open, though may be limiting their hours and menu options.
⦁ Purchase gift cards for local businesses to use at a later date.
The sustainability and stability of our local economy is our top priority, and we are here to support local businesses however we are able.
We will continue to provide updates to the media as we make progress or have new announcements.
